Not one I received, but I came across this gem and thought I'd share.
"Herbert A. Millington
Chair - Search Committee
412A Clarkson Hall, Whitson University
College Hill, MA 34109
Dear Professor Millington,
Thank you for your letter of March 16. After careful consideration, I
regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me
an assistant professor position in your department.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually
large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field
of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite Whitson's outstanding qualifications and previous experience in
rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at
this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of assistant professor
in your department this August. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.
Sincerely,
Chris L. Jensen"

Do NOT surpried ! We receive lots similar CVs almost every day, some even missing all info about the experience /working history!!I am sure it is not the 1st resume they they sent.
Honestly, anyone who sent me such a letter would get a second interview post-rejection for their gumption. Not saying they'd get the job, but they'd get a second try!
wow I would give him the job just for the guts to write that letter :)
that is hilarious! brilliant.
No guarantee on the job, but I'd buy him a beer at least. That's fantastic.
Your resume should sell your skills and experience to the World, but there's plenty of people who are a few feet short of the runway. Here's some of them.I'm just a recruiter, somewhere, inappropriately laughing at resumes.

Some resumes are good, some are bad, and some are simply from Hell. The all-too-real resumes in this book were no doubt written with the best of intentions, but a job search can be a misadventure. A wacky resume is a sure-fire way to derail your job application.
